March 1: Su CASA presents: WONDERLAND — 2nd Annual Musical Tribute to Stevie Wonder

Coming March 1: For the 2nd year in a row, the folks at Su CASA offer an oasis in the sea of typical CIAA parties by presenting … WONDERLAND — our tribute to the music of Stevie Wonder!

Resident DJ Justice and Q.C.-expat DJ Fraser will be spinning Stevie’s top hits, B-sides, remixes and more — plus music by artists influenced by Stevie, songs Stevie wrote/produced … and relevant detours into myriad funk, Latin, Brazilian and other sounds!

On top of that, our 2nd annual Su CASA bazaar is happening as well, featuring arts and crafts from variety of local vendors. Plus: Films, live art, face painting and more!

Friday, Feb. 15: Su CASA presents: ‘We Love Fela!’

Coming Feb. 15: In anticipation of the hit Broadway musical “Fela!” hitting Charlotte, Su CASA and The Harvey B. Gantt Center are bringing you a night of Fela-inspired Afrobeat tunes. Art, photography, facepainting, etc. Be ready to dance like never before!

Coming to Atlanta on Dec. 8: SWEET! The Blaxploitation Film Series

Presenting a new event for all Atlanta fans of 1970s-era Blaxploitation movies!

SWEET! The Blaxploitation Film Series is a periodic movie screening designed to show — and celebrate — the best of the worst Blaxploitation films ever made!

Come check us out at Apache Cafe on DEC. 8 for a 3 p.m. matinee. We’ll be showing “The Human Tornado” (starring Rudy Ray Moore, aka Dolemite) — and we’ll also be rocking pre-movie music courtesy of DJ Larmarrous … plus we’ll give away some fresh prizes after the screening.

July 27: Su CASA — Tribute to Dance Classics Vol. 2!

On July 27, we’re back with our regular Friday Edition of Su CASA — and, since we had so much fun with our last celebration of Dance Classics, we decided to do it again!

So get ready to shake your pants to even bigger and tastier sets of Paradise Garage-era house, ’80s- and ’90s-era R&B, ultra-old school hip-hop (i.e. UTFO, Soul Sonic Force, etc.), and MORE down-South bootyshake (seriously), among other danceable sh**!
